If you look at the back of Dr. Jepson's book, you'll find 60 pages of references to articles published in peer-reviewed medical journals,

I took my son to Dr. Jepson almost immediately after my son's pediatrician told me my son would never be quite right, etc. My pediatrician also explicitly said that a GFCF diet would not help my son. After a few months of bio-medical treatment under Dr. Jepson's care, including a GFCF diet, I took my son back to that pediatrician who, to my astonishment, admitted to having been wrong and told me to "keep doing what you are doing." The change in my son in just a few short months was drastic.

Years of pediatrician-prescribed "peer reviewed" treatment didn't help my son, a few months of biomedical treatment did.

At my son's first exam with Dr Jepson, Dr Jepson noticed what the pediatrician had not. My son's belly was a bit distended, and an X-ray verified my son's bowels were impacted.

There may be doctors and others out there taking advantage of parents of autistic kids that have been abandoned by the mainstream medical business, but Dr. Jepson is not one of them. No, biomedical treatment does not work for every autistic spectrum child, but that does not mean it doesn't work for some. I'm glad we went to Dr. Jepson, and I'm very sorry it took me so long to question pediatricians.

Unfortunately, "emotional" journalism and "advocacy" journalism seem to have largely replaced traditional "just the facts" and "investigative" journalism.

NM, loved the Dilbert. It was perfect.

"It takes a skilled journalist..."

It's pretty clear that's what was the problem here.

I would have thought that on Day 1 of journalism school, the class would be taught that just because your interviewee is charming and good-looking, you still need to do some fact-checking and BS-detecting. If nothing turns up, great. If something does - THEN you've really got a story worth writing.

Another observation - it's disingenuous for Warwick (and reporters like her) to resort to the argument that all information is equally useful and worthy of being aired. It sounds like the kind of thing a person might insist on as a way of saving face after realizing she'd been had.
