The line about Peter Bowditch is misinformation, at least by his account: He says that the court records (which he links to) are about another Bowditch.

I think the line about Offit approving Rotateq is a “mutation” of Olmsted’s “Voting Himself Rich” story. I have noticed Olmsted is good at writing for “plausible deniability”, ie leading people to a conclusion which he condemns.
My most recent discovery about that story is that Olmsted based his claim that Offit received the entirety of a CHOP inventor’s share on document s clearly dated five to six years earlier than the actual “Rotateq” patent. In light of this, and especially of the fact that Olmsted failed to provide these documents in the initial article, I now consider the “story” to be a hoax, though I suspect JB Handley and/or Wakefield to be more responsible than Olmsted.

Anonymous, there is one particular egregious lie going around that Paul Offit was on the committee that approved RotaTeq to the schedule, when he had actually not been on the committee of three years.

Do you know the source of that lie?

Offit and Nast are in the dubious company of David Gorski (aka Orac) and Peter Bowditch (aka Convict: Aggravated Assault & Defamation). No doubt Fisher will supeona both for their “expert testimony” (aka lies).

As a person who has one succesful lawsuit for slander under his belt – I can safely say that Fisher’s case has to be based in proving that the people she is suing are lying about her and knew that they were and went ahead anyway. The instant the defence starts showing evidence that even suggests that Fisher is a liar – the case is lost.

This whole lawsuit makes her look ridiculous. And the anti-vaccine groups can bully Offit but taking on Conde Nast was a mistake.

It’s so rich that Fisher spends her days accusing honest scientists of being liars, then whips out her law-puppies when she’s called on it. Don’t like being called a liar, Barbara? Think how much more annoying it is for those who are called liars when they’re actually not.
